How to Customize Text in Your Invoice Footer

 

The invoice footer appears at the bottom of every invoice you send, providing payment instructions and terms that apply to all your billing communications.

Accessing Invoice Footer Settings
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click Invoicing
  3. Select Invoicing Details
  4. Find the Invoice Footer section
Default Footer Content

Roof Chief provides standard footer text to get you started:

  • Payment instructions (make checks payable to your company)
  • Payment terms (total due timeframe)
  • Late payment policies (service charges for overdue accounts)
Customizing Your Footer

Edit Payment Terms:

  • Modify due dates to match your business policies
  • Specify the number of days or any timeframe that works for your company
  • Update payment methods you accept

Adjust Late Fees:

  • Set service charge percentages that comply with local regulations
  • Specify monthly or daily interest rates as needed
  • Include any legal requirements for your area

Add Company-Specific Information:

  • Include additional payment options like online payment portals
  • Add contact information for billing questions
  • Insert any required legal disclaimers
Saving Your Changes

After making modifications to your invoice footer:

  1. Review your updated text for accuracy
  2. Click Save at the bottom of the page
  3. Your changes apply to all future invoices
