How to Edit Proposals
Once you've created an estimate and selected your proposal template, Roof Chief makes it easy to customize the content for each specific project.
Automatic Information Filling
Roof Chief is able to automatically populate your proposal with details from the estimate:
- Contact's name
- Property address
- Project details
Editing Text Content
To edit any text section in your proposal:
- Hover over the section you want to edit
- Click the pencil icon that appears
- Make your changes in the text field
- Save your edits For example, you can customize details like "tear-off existing roof" to specify "tear-off existing roof (one layer of shingles)" to make the proposal more specific to the project.
Updating Images
You can easily replace images in your proposal:
- Click the pencil icon on the section containing the image
- Click on the image you want to replace
- Select "My Files" from the image properties window
- Choose a new image from your files
- Click "Okay" to confirm the change This allows you to use project-specific photos, like replacing a generic roof image with an actual photo of the customer's property.
Making Proposals Project-Specific
These editing features help you create customized proposals that feel personal and specific to each customer's project, rather than using generic template language and images.
