How to Enter Measurements into Estimates Manually

While you can order an EagleView report and import measurements automatically, you can also enter all measurements manually in Roof Chief.

EagleView Instant Insights

Using EagleView Instant Insights, you can see predicted measurements for the roof. You can use these predictions as a starting point and then enter your own measurements instead.

Adding Roof Sections

To enter measurements manually:

1. Enter the dimensions for each roof section
2. Click "Add a Section" to include additional roof areas
3. Specify the existing layers and roof pitch for each section You can easily capture multiple roof sections this way, making it simple to handle complex roof layouts.

Standard Roofing Measurements

Below the roof sections, you can enter standard roofing measurements:

• Eaves
• Hips
• Rakes
• Ridge
• Valleys
• Waste factor

Completing Your Measurements

Once you've entered all your measurements:

1. Click "Update" to save your inputs
2. Roof Chief will automatically calculate additional measurements like ice and water requirements The process is straightforward and gives you full control over your measurements when you prefer manual entry over automated reports.
