How to Set Up Color Codes

 

Color codes provide visual organization for your jobs, making it easy for team members to quickly identify project types across job tables and calendars.

Where Color Codes Appear

Job Table View:

  • Hover over jobs to see color meanings
  • Quick visual identification of project types (like Residential Re-roof or Repair)

Calendar View:

  • Primary color appears in the main bar
  • Additional colors appear as dots on the side
  • Easy recognition of production schedules (blue for re-roofs, green for repairs, yellow for siding)
Setting Up Color Codes
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Account (at the top)
  3. Select Info Settings (also at the top)
  4. Choose Contact and Job Info (in the middle)
  5. Click Color Tags at the top
Managing Color Tags

Add New Colors:

  1. Click "More Settings"
  2. Click "New Item"
  3. Choose a color from the palette
  4. Add your description (like "Residential Re-roof" or "Siding")

Organize Your List:

  • Use arrows to reorder colors by priority or frequency
  • Place most common project types at the top for easy access

Remove Unwanted Colors:

  • Delete colors you don't need (like removing pink if it doesn't fit your system)
  • Replace with more appropriate colors for your business
Saving Changes

Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to preserve all your color code configurations.
