How to Use the Dashboard to See Key Insights
The dashboard provides a quick overview of your business performance with key metrics and visual charts to help you track leads, sales, and team performance.
Stage Summary at Top
The top section shows your current project pipeline:
- Current leads - prospects in your system
- Current estimates - contacts you're preparing quotes for
- Jobs won - signed contracts ready for production
- Other stages - based on your customized workflow
Lead Tracking
Leads by Source shows where your prospects are coming from, such as ten leads from your website in the last four weeks. This helps you understand which marketing efforts are working.
Sales Performance Charts
Total Sales by Week - displays your revenue trends over time Sales by Salesperson - shows individual performance with interactive features:
- Hover over chart sections to see one salesperson's results
- View what each team member has accomplished over the past three months Sales Performance Pie Chart - shows what each person has contributed to total revenue in the last three months
Flexible Time Periods
You can adjust the time frame for sales data:
- Switch to different periods like the last six months
- View both sold projects and closed out projects
- Closed out means your office has invoiced, received payment, and completed job costing to compare estimated costs with actual costs
Sales by Service
The bottom section shows revenue breakdown by service type, such as residential re-roof and residential repair, helping you see which services drive your business.
Customizing Dashboard Stages
The stage summary uses default Roof Chief settings, but you can customize what appears:
- Go to Settings
- Click Account
- Select Info Settings
- Choose Stage
- Select which stages appear in the dashboard This allows you to focus on the metrics most important to your business workflow.
