# How To Manage, Edit, And Review Campaigns

## Once campaigns are running, this is where you see who’s enrolled, how they’re performing, and what to do when something needs changing.

### When would I use this?

- Checking whether a campaign is actually producing engagement
- Finding out where a specific contact is in a sequence
- Enrolling a customer manually
- Pausing a campaign that isn’t landing right

### Where do I find my campaigns?

Click **Campaigns** in the left-hand navigation menu. You’ll see all contact campaigns and all project campaigns you’ve created.

### What does the campaign list show?

| Column | What it tells you |
| --- | --- |
| **Campaign name** | |
| **Date created** | |
| **Trigger and filters** | A summary of what fires the campaign and for whom |
| **Sequence contents** | How many emails, text messages, and tasks are in it |
| **Status** | Draft, Paused, or Active |
| **Contacts enrolled** | How many are currently in the sequence |

### What actions can I take from the list?

- **Pause** a campaign
- **Resume** a paused campaign
- **Edit** a campaign
- **Duplicate** a campaign
- **Delete** a campaign

**Deleting a campaign stops messages for everyone currently enrolled.** Anyone partway through the sequence receives nothing further.

### What’s inside a campaign?

Click into a campaign and you get three views beyond the builder: **enrolled contacts**, **analytics**, and **activity**.

### How do I see who’s enrolled?

The enrolled contacts view shows, for each contact:

- Who they are
- **How they were triggered** into the campaign
- **The current step** they’re on
- **The next action** coming up
- **Status**

For any individual contact, you can:

| Action | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Preview the campaign** | See the sequence as it applies to that contact |
| **Reactivate enrollment** | Re-enroll a contact whose enrollment failed — for example, if your email account wasn’t connected when their sequence should have started |
| **Remove from campaign** | Take them out of the sequence |

### Can I enroll someone manually?

Yes. Click **Enroll Contact** and select any contact in your CRM to add them to the campaign.

Useful when someone should receive a sequence but didn’t match the trigger — a referral who came in by phone, or a customer you want in a review-request campaign after the fact.

### What’s in the analytics tab?

**Campaign-level:** total enrolled, engagement rate, average engagement score, and lead temperature.

**Step-level performance:**

| Metric | Applies to |
| --- | --- |
| Sent | Emails and texts |
| Opened | Emails |
| Clicked | Emails |
| Replied | Emails |
| Open rate | Emails |
| Click rate | Emails |

### What’s in the activity view?

Every action the campaign has taken, positive and negative. This is where you go when something looks wrong and you need to see what actually happened rather than what should have.

### Tips and gotchas

- **Pause rather than delete.** Pausing stops a campaign without losing the setup or the history, and you can resume it. Deleting ends messages for everyone currently enrolled — anyone mid-sequence simply stops hearing from you. Delete only when you’re certain.
- **Check enrollment counts before you worry about engagement.** A campaign with a great open rate and four enrolled contacts isn’t working — the trigger or filters are too narrow. Enrollment tells you whether the campaign is reaching people; engagement tells you whether the message lands.
- **Check for failed enrollments after a setup problem.** If your email or SMS connection was down when a batch of contacts should have entered a campaign, those enrollments fail quietly. Reactivate enrollment is how you recover them once the underlying issue is fixed — otherwise those leads sit untouched.
- **Duplicate to revise, don’t edit a live campaign’s structure.** Changes to a running campaign take effect immediately. If you want to restructure a sequence, duplicate it, change the copy, and activate that instead.
- **Use step-level performance to find the drop-off.** A sequence where the first email opens at 60% and the third opens at 12% isn’t a campaign problem — it’s a third-email problem. Fix the step, not the whole thing.
- **Watch for low reply rates with high open rates.** People are reading and not responding. That’s usually a message asking for nothing, or asking for too much.
- **Remove contacts who’ve gone cold for the wrong reason.** If a customer complained, had a bad experience, or told a rep to stop contacting them, remove them from the campaign directly. Stop conditions don’t catch everything.
- **Manual enrollment is for exceptions, not routine.** If you’re manually enrolling people regularly, your trigger or filters are wrong. Fix the campaign so it catches them automatically.
- **Check the activity view before assuming something is broken.** Most “the campaign didn’t send” reports turn out to be a stop condition firing, a consent issue, or a contact who was never enrolled. The activity log tells you which.
