How To Order EagleView Measurement Reports
Order EagleView reports without leaving Exterio, and bring the measurements straight into a measurement template for estimating. You can also pull reports you’ve already ordered from your EagleView history.
When would I use this?
- You need measurements on a property before you can estimate it
- A rep is on site and the report should be ordered now, not back at the office
- You already have a report for this address in your EagleView history
- You need walls, windows, and doors data for a siding estimate
Before you start
Your EagleView account must be connected. Admin, Owner, and Manager roles can set up the connection.
Once connected, anyone with project access can order — sales reps included.
Orders bill to your connected EagleView account. Reports ordered through Exterio are charged to that account exactly as they would be ordering directly from EagleView.
How do I connect my EagleView account?
- Click Settings → Account Settings → Integrations.
- Find EagleView and click Connect.
- Enter your EagleView account credentials.
- Set your defaults for product, measurements, and delivery.
Once EagleView shows as connected, you can order from any project.
Where do I order a report?
- Open the project and go to the Measurements tab. Its position depends on your project tab structure.
- Find the measurement reports area.
- Click Order Report. With EagleView connected, the EagleView ordering window opens.

Can I use a report I’ve already ordered?
Yes. Go to Order History and search by address. You’ll see matching past reports with the option to import one into the project.
This saves paying twice for the same property — worth checking before you order, especially on a repeat customer or a property you’ve bid before.
How do I know when my report is ready?
Set up a notification using the EagleView Report Ready trigger in Workflows. From there you can notify the rep, create a task, or move the project forward automatically.
See How to Set Up a Workflow Automation.
What can I do with a returned report?
Whether ordered or imported, a returned report gives you:
- Expanded data — a dropdown showing all returned measurements
- Image assets — clickable and expandable
- PDF — preview and review by page
- Refresh — re-pull the report if measurements are delayed or inaccurate
How do I use the report in an estimate?
Two paths, same result:
- Click the ruler icon on the report
- Or click New Measurement → Import from Measurement Report
From there, choose which service the data is for and which measurement template to import it into, then build your estimate.
For siding specifically, see How to Use the Enhanced Siding Integration and Measurement Template for Siding Estimates.
Tips and gotchas
Check order history before ordering. Reports cost money against your EagleView account. A property you bid eighteen months ago may already have one sitting there, and importing it is free.
Decide who should be ordering. Anyone with project access can place an order, and every order bills your EagleView account. That’s fast and it’s also unmanaged spend. Make sure your team knows when a report is warranted and when it isn’t.
Pick the product for the job you’re estimating. A roof-only product won’t give you the walls, windows, and doors data a siding estimate needs. Ordering the wrong product means ordering — and paying — twice.
Set your defaults during setup. The product, measurement, and delivery defaults you configure at connection are what your team will use on every order. Getting them right once means reps aren’t guessing per order.
Set up the Report Ready notification. Reports aren’t instant, and a report that comes back while nobody’s watching is a day lost before the estimate starts. One workflow closes that gap.
Flag property changes when you know of them. If the homeowner mentioned an addition or a new garage, mark it. Aerial imagery can lag, and a report built on old imagery produces measurements that don’t match the house.
Choose measurement type deliberately. “Primary structure only” on a property with a detached garage you’re also roofing gives you a measurement that’s short by a whole building.
Use the claim number field on insurance jobs. It costs nothing at order time and saves reconciliation later when you’re matching reports to claims.
Refresh before you assume the report is wrong. If measurements look off or the report is slow, refresh it before calling support or reordering.
